Plains of Abraham Winter Activities in Full Swing

Plains of Abraham Winter Activities in Full Swing

Quebec City (Quebec) January 17, 2015 – While the Plains of Abraham may best be known as the go-to spot for summer lounging in the day and partying at night, the National Battlefields Commission (NBC) reminds Québec’s population that the Plains of Abraham are also a host to plenty of winter activities.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails are available throughout the winter absolutely for free.  Those without their own equipment can make use of the equipment rental center, located at the NBC’s Museum.  In its second year of operation, the skating rink just outside the Parc Jeanne d’Arc is also available all winter, with the refrigerated rink keeping ice cold even on milder days.

It is worth noting that the Parc Jeanne d’Arc is itself also decked out for the season and celebrates winter as well as summer.
