QMJHL Roundup 21 Nov: Maple Leafs prospect Timashov helps Remparts beat Huskies

QUEBEC — Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Dmytro Timashov scored twice to help the Quebec Remparts beat the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-4 on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Timashov tied the game with a power-play goal at 6:43 of the third period before Auguste Impose scored the winner for Quebec (14-10-2). Massimo Carozza and Zachery Moody had the others.

Francis Perron had a pair of goals for the Huskies (18-3-4), with Alexandre Sills and Jeremy Lauzon also chipping in.

Brady Labrecque turned away 13-of-17 shots in 25:05 for Quebec before giving way to Julian Galloway. Galloway stopped all 23 shots he faced in relief to earn the win. Samuel Harvey made 18 saves for Rouyn-Noranda.

The Remparts scored once on four power-play attempts, with the Huskies going 2 for 6.

BATHURST, N.B. — Kevin Klima struck twice as Moncton toppled the Titan.

Stephen Johnson and Manuel Wiederer also chipped in for the Wildcats (16-7-2).

Mark Simpson scored for Acadie-Bathurst (9-15-2) on the power play.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Alex Dostie scored twice and added an assist as Gatineau got past the Cataractes.

Yakov Trenin and Alexandre Alain supplied the rest of the offence for the Olympiques (15-8-2).

Samuel Girard had the lone goal for Shawinigan (18-6-1).

OCEANIC 4 TIGRES 2

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Michael Joly had a hat trick as the Oceanic scored three goals in the third period to beat Victoriaville.

Anthony Chapados rounded out the attack for Rimouski (14-9-1).

Samuel Blais and Marc Beckstead found the back of the net for the Tigres (11-10-3).

Victoriaville’s Nicolas Latulippe received a game misconduct at 5:12 of the first period after a major penalty for clipping.

VOLTIGEURS 5 PHOENIX 4 (OT)

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Alex Barre-Boulet scored 35 seconds into overtime as the Voltigeurs topped Sherbrooke.

Michael Carcone had a goal and four assists for Drummondville (14-12-0), which also got a pair of goals from Kristian Afanasyev. Jasmin Boutet had the other.

Jack Kilgour, Hugo Roy, Nicolas Poulin and Carl Neill found the back of the net for the Phoenix (11-9-5).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Nicolas Leblond had a goal and two assists as the Drakkar slipped past Saint John.

Raphael Santerre and Vincent Lavoie, on the power play, also scored for Baie-Comeau (4-17-1).

Sam Povorozniouk opened the scoring with two goals for the Sea Dogs (14-10-1).

MOOSEHEADS 4 SAGUENEENS 0

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Eric Brassard kicked out all 32 shots he faced as Halifax blanked the Sagueneens.

Cavan Fitzgerald, Danny Moynihan, Andrew Shewfelt and Cody Donaghey found the back of the net for the Mooseheads (9-13-4).

Julio Billia turned away 30 shots for Chicoutimi (10-12-2).

SCREAMING EAGLES 6 ISLANDERS 3

SYDNEY, N.S. — Maxim Lazarev had a hat trick for the Screaming Eagles as they downed Charlottetown.

Pierre-Luc Dubois added a goal and three assists for Cape Breton (12-11-3). Evgeny Svechnikov and Dillon Boucher also scored.

Chris Chaddock, Filip Rydstrom and Mitchell Balmas supplied the offence for the Islanders (11-11-3).
