QMJHL Roundup: MacKinnon scores winner as Phoenix edge Sagueneens

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Evan MacKinnon registered the winning goal 8:07 into the second period as the Sherbrooke Phoenix edged the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-3 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Mathieu Olivier, Nicolas Poulin and Marek Zachar also scored for the Phoenix (3-3-2).

Olivier Galipeau, Kelly Klima and Kevin Klima scored for the Sagueneens (2-4-1).

Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 20 shots for Sherbrooke. Zachary Bouthillier turned aside 31 shots for Chicoutimi.

The Phoenix went 3 for 6 with the man advantage. The Sagueneens went 0 for 4 on the power play.
