Quebec Amphitheatre to Have 18,482 Seats

(Quebec) With 18,482 seats in the plans filed earlier this month, the future Quebec amphitheatre will become the 16th largest in the National Hockey League (NHL) for capacity … if the city can one day attract an NHL team.

Even if we are far from 21,273 spectators that the Montreal Bell Centre can accommodate, adding 400 seats in the plans filed would allow it to classify among the homes of 30 NHL teams.

With the plans back in April showing 18,082 seats, the future Coliseum ranked as the 20th largest amphitheatre in the NHL, just behind the Staples Center in Los Angeles with 18,118 seats and ahead of 18,064 seats at the home of the Minnesota Wild.

With 400 additional seats, the new amphitheatre climbs four positions in the standings, nestling just behind the Verizon Center in Washington, which has only 24 more seats with 18,506, and ahead of the Consol Energy Centre in Pittsburgh.

All we need now is a hockey team, and no season-long lockout if one does materialise.
Then we might get those seats filled.
