Quebec City English Bookstore Grand Opening

Quebec City English Bookstore Grand Opening

by AngloStore

Wednesday 23rd March at 7pm, at Place Naviles, saw the official opening of AngloStore (Quebec City’s newest English bookstore).

The well attended event was deemed a success by all involved.

Store owner Andrew Greenfield gave a short speech thanking the members of the community for coming to witness the ceremonial ribbon cutting and for supporting the store.

Andrew’s children, Emilie and Charlotte cut the ribbon and the shoppers were allowed in to have a browse.

And browse they certainly did.

The shoppers stayed well into the evening, enjoyed a glass or two of bubbly and a social catch-up with new and old friends.

Quebec City photographer Jay Ouellet was in attendance and signed copies of his book, Quebec by Night.

Local watercolourist Raymond Fournier was also there as his art is hanging in the store and is for sale.

M. Fournier was on hand to discuss his artwork with those interested.

AngloStore stocks a wide range of titles catering for all tastes and is open Monday to Saturday between 10 am and 4.30 pm.
