Quebec City English Bookstore Newsletter – September 2010

Quebec City English Bookstore Newsletter – September 2010

This was sent in from…

Hi Everyone,

So this edition of the newsletter sees us all back to work after the (for some) long summer break.

We’ve been a bit busy this past month what with ordering and delivering all the books you’ve bought, talking to the world at the Quebec City Fall Fest 2010, starting the kids English reading classes and finalising the details for our first ever author event and what have you.

Well we have to say that the Fall Fest at Quebec High School (QHS) was an excellent day all round. We feel privileged to have been asked along. We were among many other local businesses and community groups offering services in English in Quebec City.
A big thank you to a) everyone who stopped by our stand and said hello and b) the Voice of English-speaking Quebec, Central Quebec School Board and QHS for putting on a superb event. More of the same next year please.

We’d also like to remind everyone about our author event… On Thursday October 21st 2010, travel writer Angus Bell, the author of Batting on the Bosphorus will be in town. It’s a free event (although you can buy his book from us and he’ll sign it if you’d like that). Angus will share some of his travel experiences with you and his talk will last about an hour. He’ll then answer questions that you may have. This guy is seriously funny (as is his book). Quebec High School, 7pm start. Don’t miss it.
To view more details please visit Angus Bell in Quebec City.

So, on to the usual stuff…

If you want to receive our newsletter, Register (free) and we’ll send it to you.

Happy Reading,
