L’ANTI RISES FROM THE ASHES

Quebec City, July 7 2015 – Good news for music lovers in Quebec City: L’ANTI concert venue resurfaces! The facility, known for being home of the underground music scene from 2002 to 2009, will reopen July 19 in the old co-op bar L’AgitéE, located at 251 Dorchester Street in downtown Quebec City.

This intimate 175-seat room will strive to be the setting of choice for the emerging scene. Dedicated to the cultural vitality of Quebec City, L’ANTI 2.0 will offer a wide variety of shows and concerts and also have weekly thematic nights.

EXO and District 7 Production are leading this project and are busy concocting a fiery and eclectic program to try and reach a multitude of spectators. In their sights: festivals and other cultural events with whom they will be able to develop new distribution partnerships. “I strongly believe in the power of collaboration. The more united we are, the more we can make this project a definite success!”, enthusiastically exclaims Karl-Emmanuel Picard of District7.

Karl-Emmanuel Picard is very active on the local scene, having himself organized more than 2,000 shows at L’AgitéE. He has everything needed to put L’ANTI back on track. Ditto for EXO, a shop that, in 26 years, has become a cultural institution for skateboarding and music. “L’ANTI is in good hands! Karl-Emanuel has strong expertise in event programming, production, promotion and marketing just as we do. There could not be better synergy between two companies, particularly in the area of underground music”, says the manager of EXO, Jateen Manek.

Stay tuned for the upcoming program schedule! Quiz Heavy Montréal, Noisem, Madchild, Revocation, Unearth, Silverstein, Dance Laury Dance, Mute, Caravane, The Hunters, Jah&I, Metalord, Midnight Romeo, Dear Rouge and several other bands will be participating!
