Quebec Film Festival Awards Its Best Movies

The Broken Circle Breakdown, which will represent Belgium in the race for the Oscars, won the Grand Prize. The jury members also awarded it the Grand Prize of the official competition.

The Jury Prize in the official competition meanwhile went to Quebec film A Girl by Catherine Martin. The film shot in Gaspé features Sébastien Ricard and Ariane Legault.

The film The Effect signed by Quebec director  Jocelyn Langlois for his part received the Best Canadian and Quebec film, tied with the film Absences by Carole Laganière.

The 3rd Film Festival of Quebec City was closed Sunday. During the ten days of the festival, more than 150 feature and short films from Quebec and elsewhere were shown.
