Quebec Jazz Festival Coming Soon

The sixth edition of the Quebec Jazz Festival (FJQ), will be held from October 15 to 28, presenting some of the best trumpeters in the world: Christian Scott, Eric Truffaz, Paolo Fresu … not to mention one of the greatest trumpet virtuosos: Arturo Sandoval!

Other great jazz masters will perform across the twenty festival scenes: Gary Peacock, Sophie Hunger, Jeremy Pelt, and many others.

All jazz styles will be represented, such as the Robert Glasper Experiment project, combining jazz and Afro-American music.

As part of a gala show, Confessions Jazz, FJQ pay tribute to the great Alfred Hitchcock, cinema legend.

This event, which will take place in the ballroom of the Château Frontenac October 17th, will combine video and music: the black film music specialist, Ran Blake, the famous Quebec trio Lorraine Desmarais and great international trumpeter Tiger Okoshi will be present!

Lastly, a special concert will be devoted entirely to the great Quebec jazzmen. This exclusive and daring performance unite more than a dozen leading figures in Quebec jazz including Oliver Jones, Alain Caron, Lorraine Desmarais, and François Bourassa!
