Quebec Most Corrupt Province – MacLean’s Thinks So…

So there we have it, one of the most popular and well read English magazines in Canada bashes Quebec. AGAIN.

Andrew Coyne states in his article

‘No, Quebec is not the only province where political scandal sometimes erupts. Governments and business have been corrupting each other across this country since pre-Confederation days. But in no other province does it feel quite so…inevitable.’

Well would it be fair for those living in Quebec Province (Francophone and Anglophone) to say that such a biased article bashing Quebec written in MacLean’s is so, well… inevitable?

Quebec, like everywhere else in Canada, has it’s problems however, when did the beloved figure of Bonhomme Carnaval enter into the equation?

Quite rightly, respesentatives of the Caranaval de Québec are livid at the use of the image (depiciting a smiling Bonhomme walking off with a briefcase stuffed full of cash) on the cover of the October 4th issue of MacLean’s.

What next?
Will this end here?

Is Quebec Canada’s most corrupt province?
Should MacLean’s magazine have used an image of Bonhomme Carnaval in such a fashion?

What do you think?
