Hello Lifers,

Fresh out of last night’s Québec Election 2014 leaders’ debate, it’s been another exciting week here at Life in Québec.  Our self-appointed political analyst Farnell Morisset offers his post-event take of the hits and misses of each party leader, while Andrew Greenfield provides a wider perspective into the more fringe parties and alternate forms of political expression in this week’s feature articles.

Do you have any thoughts on the election, the debates, or anything else?  We’d love to have them – whether it’s a paragraph or a 1,000-word essay, send them over to info@lifeinquebec.com and we’ll take a look at sharing your views with the world on LifeinQuebec.com.

We’re obviously not only talking politics, as there’s plenty going on in the arts in this week’s news, as well as the Red Bull Crashed Ice gearing up for its finals tomorrow.  Our very own Andrew Greenfield will be one of the brave souls navigating the course as one of the daring media members trying out the specially-built course on Place Georges V.  Word is he’s still trembling at the mere mention of it, but we’ll be sure to capture all the glorious video of his adventures we can.  Wishes of luck and/or condolences to his family are more than welcome. We’re kidding, of course – go get ’em, Andrew!

As usual, a slew of news also awaits, as well as competitions, prizes, and giveaways.  Copies of Life in Québec Magazine are also out and about.  In preparation for tomorrow’s 2014 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Quebec City, Parade Marshal Barbara Miller-Roy came by our offices to pick up her own copy of the magazine, in which she’s featured as one of our many excellent articles.  Quick reminder – most of our prizes and giveaways are exclusive to magazine subscribers, so if you want your share of the thousands of dollars in prizes we’re giving away, it’s still not too late to subscribe.  If you want to pick up a free copy, there should be plenty available at this week’s AngloStore Author Event or at any one of hundreds of spots across the region… while they last.

And if you’re ever looking for some extra money, keep an eye out on our jobs section.  There’s an easy bit of money a month in there just for checking your mail.

All the best,

The Life in Québec Team
