Hello Lifers,

With schools starting up again in a matter of days, it’s not surprising that school board taxes and sizes was again on this week’s news. Truth be told, having too many students is the kind of problem that’s nice to have – for too long, the trend was for schools to shut down and be converted into retirement homes. There’s no shame in being retired, of course – after a long life of work, you deserve some rest and leisure time – but it’s more that having lots of kids in school is our society’s best way to make sure all our retirements will be comfortable ones.

That being said, we at Life in Québec want to wish all students headed back to school the best – remember to work hard, education is a precious gift that really does open the world to you.

All the best,

The Life in Québec Team
