Quebec News in English, Friday 7th September, 2012

Hello Quebec,

We must start on a sombre note this week.
We, like many, witnessed the tragic events unfold on Tuesday evening while watching the Quebec provincial election results coming in.
RIP Denis Blanchette. Our thoughts are with his family at this truly awful time.

So, a new dawn approaches – or is it something repeating itself from around 40 years ago?

As ever, so much going on again this week: Election results, Wine tasting, Quebec City Gay Pride, Madonna, Grand Prix Cycling, Celtic Festival, and more.

We welcome Rosalind Dunphy to the writing team, we got to ask Mme. Marois a question at a recent press conference, and there’s more jobs, forum posts, and classified ads.

As ever, whatever you’re up to, wishing you a great weekend and we’ll see you next time.

Don’t forget enter the competition. You might win a few dollars. It’d be silly not to.
