Quebec Summer Festival Early Bird Ticket Sale Date Change

Quebec Summer Festival Early Bird Ticket Sale Date Change

Québec city, November 27, 2012 – In response to the fears and reactions from both the Quebec city area cultural community and festival fans, and in light of its impact, the Festival d’été de Québec is moving the early-bird sale date for passes announced last week. Instead of December 1st, the early-bird sale will start Saturday, February 16, 2013 through March 15 inclusively or until sold out. A total of 75,000 passes will go on sale at $66, taxes and service fees included.

“It’s never easy to get people to change their habits, and we realized that some of our festival fans just weren’t ready for this. Even though we remain convinced that our proposed sales process makes good sense, we decided to readjust it this time. This gives time for those who want to take advantage of the early-bird sale to get ready,” explained Daniel Gélinas, general manager of the Festival d’été de Québec, who also wanted to “thank those loyal festival fans who spoke up in favour of the new formula.”

Regular sale will start one month later, on Saturday, March 16, with passes priced at $76, taxes and service fees included.

“This is a growing trend worldwide that we want to adopt in order to advance and consolidate business development. This upstream sales strategy will allow us to build a community that we can communicate with at all times and update on flashes or special promotions. This is one of our strategic orientations,” Gélinas summed up.

–  2 dates: February 16 and March 16, 2013
