Quebec voters head to polls again: Provincial byelection

MONTREAL — Some voters in Quebec are going to the polls today for four provincial byelections.

Ballots will be cast in Beauce-Sud, Fabre, Rene-Levesque and the Montreal-area riding of Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne.

Three of the four ridings were held by the Liberals while the fourth is a Parti Quebecois stronghold.

The governing Liberals have 68 seats, compared to 28 for the PQ, 20 for the Coalition for Quebec’s Future and three seats for Quebec Solidaire.

There is one independent and after today’s byelections, there will still be one vacant seat in the legislature.
