Logo_Imagination_2013Quebec City, March 25, 2013 – The Morrin Centre’s fourth annual writers’ festival is happy to announce that award-winning broadcaster, musician, producer, best-selling author and host of Q on CBC Radio One and CBC TV, Jian Ghomeshi, will tell us about his best-selling memoir 1982 and his show. The line-up this year also includes Governor General’s Award-winner Guy Vanderhaeghe, celebrated Canadian science fiction author Robert J. Sawyer, and Irish-Canadian novelist Emma Donoghue whose novel Room was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2010. Other visiting authors include Commonwealth Writer’s Prize-winner Deni Y. Béchard and influential publisher Douglas Gibson. In his unique one-man stage-show, the latter will discuss the relationships he developed with some of Canada’s most memorable public figures and writers over his 40 years as publisher and editor.

The festival runs from April 6 to 16, 2013. ImagiNation contributes year after year to helping the general public get better acquainted with Canadian authors through public discussions, readings and performances.

The Morrin Centre would like to thank its partners, including the Entente de développement culturel (a partnership between the City of Quebec and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications), Canada Council for the Arts and the Bureau de la Capitale-Nationale.
