QuebeComm To Host International Emmy Awards Jury

QuébéComm will host an International Emmy® Awards Jury, June 30 and July 1 in Quebec City.

Quebec City, June, 2012 – The QuebeComm company, through its operating subsidiary FarMore Distribution, will welcome in Quebec a jury of the 40th International Emmy ® Awards, on June 30th and July 1st, a world premiere for Quebec City. As the host, QuébéComm will bring together a dozen influential figures of the global TV industry to judge in the semifinals of a category. This event will be held during the Festival Grand Rire, the same weekend that Whoopi Goldberg, herself a recipient of an Emmy® Award, will be performing.

QuébéComm is coordinating this event which will allow the jury to choose the finalists for the prestigious Emmy® Awards. Up to eight hours of programming will be viewed by the jurors. Following this step, the finalists will be announced in the fall at MIPCOM in Cannes, France. Winners will be announced at the 40th International Emmy® Awards ceremony in New York City, November 19, 2012.
