Queen Tribute Band at Théatre Capitole

Queen Tribute Band at Théatre Capitole

The Queen Extravaganza group started their series, Tuesday night, for five consecutive shows at the Théatre Capitole.

The 2.0 version of this show, Tribute to Queen is also more impressive than the one that had captivated the Grand Théatre for the world premiere last spring.

It can also be said that the new group, without the singers Jeff Scott and Yvan Pedneault and the Canadian guitarist Tristan Avakian, is superior.

There is more unity and it resembles more a group than a musical that could be seen on Broadway. The complex vocal parts produced by the British quartet are not covered by the voice of the bassist François-Olivier Doyon, the keyboard player Brandon Ethridge, and the guitarist Brian Gresh. The performance was great the first time and it is even more spectacular eight months later.

Marc Martel from Montreal takes up place and this is a good thing. The singer, who physically resembles Freddy Mercury, has all it takes for this performance.
