Red Bull Crashed Ice Back In Quebec City For 2011

Extreme sports fans get ready – Red Bull Crashed Ice is coming back to the streets of Quebec City on March 19th 2011.

Next March will be the 6th year the event has been staged through the streets of Old Quebec.

Starting at Chateau Frontenac, competitors will hurtle down the steep streets of Old Quebec on a specially built ice track.

The next competition sees an increase in venues around the world to 4. Germany, The Netherlands, Russia and Canada will all stage a race each.

The 2010 race in the Old City attracted an estimated 120,000 crowd. And home fans were not to be disappointed as Canadian Kyle Croxall won the Quebec City men’s event.

Will the 2011 competition see Quebec’s Christian Papillon take part?
Let’s hope so as he missed the last one due to a knee injury.

LifeinQuebec.com would like to say a special thanks to reader and Quebec City residents, Glenn Sheils and Lori Godon for these fantastic photos.

Roll on March 19th. See you there!!!
