Rosencrantz, Guildenstern and the QAC need YOU!

The Quebec Art Company, Quebec City’s foremost English-language theatre group, is holding auditions for its spring production: Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

MasksAt least 22 actors (10 major and minor characters and 12 extras) are needed for this clever tragicomedy, in which two childhood friends of Shakespeare’s Hamlet are forced to navigate a world beyond their understanding as they journey toward an uncertain fate.

Auditions will be held Sunday, January 18, 1:30 p.m., at Holland Elementary School, 940, avenue Ernest-Gagnon. For more details, go to or write to if you have any questions.

As usual, the Quebec Art Company is also looking for people to help offstage (set, costumes, backstage, publicity, makeup, etc.). If this interests you, come to the auditions to learn how you might get involved.

Performance dates for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead are April 16-19, so mark your calendars!

Finally, for those more generally interested in community theatre, the company’s annual general meeting is this Sunday, January 11, 2:30 p.m., at Holland Elementary School.

A wine and cheese will follow, and all are welcome!
