This year, the Salon international des vins et spiritueux de Québec will be much better because of the additional 50 free conferences, an important section on food and wine pairing as well as many food tastings. This third edition will astonish many fans and consumers alike. This event is presented by the SAQ (Société des alcohols de Québec)

The president of the salon, Vincent Lafortune, confirmed, during a media conference at the Château Frontenac, that more than 75 exhibitors and more than a dozen Quebec producers will offer their visitors close to 1,500 wines, beers, ciders, and spirits which can be sampled in taster format.

This year also, visitors can plan their day due to the improved website and mobile application Exquis Mag for IPads and Androids, for free download to have an access to the salon’s interactive plan before or during the visit.

This is the biggest edition since 2009, the 2013 collect proposes also to meet three Quebec celebrities who are internationally known for their great wine and food pairing skills.

About sixty students from the hotel and catering management program from the Limoilou Cegep will have the possibility to do their internship during this event. The Challenge Étudiant Vins du Portugal’s grand finale will allow many students to test their wine knowledge in front of a public to have the chance to win a practical internship in Portugal.
