Submitted by the Eastern Quebec Learning Centre

The Eastern Quebec Learning Centre will be offering a new certificate program for School Daycare Educators.  This is a Skills Training Certificate – an AEP in French – which will be offered part time on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 and one Saturday per month. This 390 hour course begins on January 16th, 2012 and will continue through March 2013.  The course is being offered to satisfy the requirement that all School Daycare Educators must be certified in order to be hired for regular positions.

School Daycare Educators are the people who are hired to staff school daycares before and after school and on pedagogical days.  Many of these people also work in the schools as noon-hour supervisors.

We are looking for English speaking individuals who are at least 18 years old, hold a Sec.V high school leaving certificate (or equivalent) and who enjoy working with children betweeen the ages of 5 and 12 years old.
