Scouts clean up Beauport River park

The Beauport River Park benefitted from a big clean-up operation last week when a group of scouts coming from many countries were participating in an ecoresponsible day for the Moot Canada 2013.

Born in Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Egypt, and several European countries, the 84 scouts aged between 15 and 25-years old worked on the sides of the rivière Beauport.

The intervention was lead by a group of education and ecosurveillance of water (G3E).

The scouts were separated in 4 groups in order to complete all The tasks which were: plantation to block unwanted paths, picking out weeds, cleaning of the river bed. The plants preferred for plantation were plants that can already be found in the area around the river.

The activity was held for the Moot Canada 2013.

A worldwide scout meeting which takes place August 8th to 18th in Ottawa.

It unites young adults from everywhere on the planet.
