THE DÉFILÉ DE LA ST-PATRICK DE QUÉBEC WELCOMES SEVERAL PIPING BANDS FOR ITS 2ND EDITION

Québec, March 1, 2011 – The organising committee of the Défilé de la St-Patrick de Québec is proud to announce the return of the NYPD Pipes and Drums of New York for a second consecutive year. 34 members of this organisation will take part, compared to
30 in the 2010 parade.

The Défilé also welcomes the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums, formed in 1992, and made up of service police from the Boston Police Department.

The participation of the NYPD Pipes and Drums of New York and the Boston Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums has been made possible thanks to la Ville de Québec, the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, Ameublements Tanguay, and la Maison Simons.

The Black Watch (RHR) of Canada Pipes and Drums of Montréal and the 306 Wing Air Force Association Pipes and Drums will also join us this year for the first time.

Finally, the Montréal Pipes and Drums will again be back for a second consecutive year.

The Défilé also wishes to thank Le Journal de Québec and Astral Media (NRJ, Rock Détente) as major partners of the event.
