The Cheese is BACK!


Saguenay- The first pieces of cheese came out of the new Boivin factory Friday afternoon, at a couple of days from the date where the flames destroyed it last year.

It was important for the owners to proceed to the inauguration on December 6, exactly one year after the fire. People thought it was impossible but everything was completed in time. 

Will the cheese coming out from the new factory have the same taste? The owners think so.

They went to get the same equipment and kept the same recipe so the taste shouldn’t change. To start, the factory wants to supply the Saguenay region and hopes to progressively reach other regions.

The small restaurant that the company had opened earlier this year at about one hundred metres away will remain open for now, but no decision was taken concerning the long-term.
