Being Earnest: The Quebec Art Company is please announce that its spring’s play will be The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, a theatrical classic that highlights Wilde’s wit and insights into life in Victorian England. The company is holding auditions this Sunday, January 27th at 3:00PM at the Holland School (940, avenue Ernest-Gagnon, Québec) immediately following the AGM.  Sheila Mawn, a familiar face from past QAC production, will be behind the scenes directing this time and is looking for a cast of 9 adults (four female and five male).  Four leads (two men and two women) ideally require younger actors.  Rehearsals are usually on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. As always the company is also looking for people interested in helping off-stage (set, costume, backstage, publicity, makeup, etc.) and encourages them to come to the auditions as well to learn how they might become involved. For further information, contact Sheila at 418-999-6173 or the QAC at secretary@quebecartcompany.com.

For those only interested in seeing the show, the dates for the performances are already set for April 25-28 – mark your calendars!
