Quebec, December 2011 – The National Battlefields Commission invites residents of the greater Quebec City area to see for the first time, or to see again a multimedia exhibition unique to Quebec City: Odyssey: a Journey through History on the Plains of Abraham!

This exhibition, shown at the Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham, will be offered free of charge to the area’s citizens every Saturday and Sunday during the months of January and February, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., simply by showing proof of residence.
Discover the importance of the Plains of Abraham in our country’s history and, alongside significant figures of the past, be present at the birth of New France and the colony, the battles of the Plains of Abraham and of Sainte-Foy, the British occupation, the foundation of the country and the creation of the first national historic park: Battlefields Park.

This captivating 400-year virtual journey will impress you with its special effects, multimedia technology and interactive games.
Among other things, you will get to admire a unique collection of some twenty uniforms connected with the battles, and view the geographic representations of the Seven Years War in North America. This is an invitation not to be missed, an unavoidable experience to enjoy with family and friends!

Created over a century ago, Battlefields Park incorporates, among others, the Plains of Abraham and Des Braves Park. Nowadays, the National Battlefields Commission sees to the preservation and development of this majestic urban park, among the most prestigious in the world.
