PLAINS OF ABRAHAM
This week, the Edwin Bélanger Bandstand presents:

THURSDAY AUGUST 2, 8:00 P.M.:
MICHEL RONDEAU Fall under the spell of Michel Rondeau and his cronies Joël Thibault, François Moisan, Sébastien Champagne and Jean-François Gagné. Swing enthusiasts will enjoy hearing once again the classic hits of great crooners like Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, Nat King Cole, The Temptations. Come Fly With Me, Moonglow, Summerwind, What a Wonderful World… a jazz evening filled with the nostalgia of the 50’s through the 70’s. Let’s Swing Tonight!

FRIDAY AUGUST 3, 8:00 P.M.:
NOBILIS JAZZ QUARTET
This outstanding ensemble’s noble mission is to infuse a Latin, jazz and swing flavour into classical, baroque and romantic music… while respecting the great masters! The great classics of Albinoni, Purcell, Beethoven and Tchaïkovsky are reinterpreted with much fluidity, originality and nuance by Richard Roberto (flute), Marie-Hélène Blay (piano), Jacques Picard (double bass) and Carl D. Jardins (drums). This artistic approach has a hint of humour.

SATURDAY AUGUST 4, 8:00 P.M.:
SON CUBANO
Sun and heat combine for an exotic, torrid evening. Land on this great Caribbean island in the company of eight musicians who will take you on a journey of irresistible rhythms and typically Cuban melodies. Cha-cha-cha, rumba and bolero are on the menu, in a style strongly reminiscent of the famous group Buena Vista Social Club. Son Cubano charms the crowds everywhere they go.

SUNDAY AUGUST 5, 8:00 P.M.:

BEATLES FOREVER
They are back by popular demand! Although the group no longer needs a presentation, these fans of the British band triumph by reinterpreting the entire Beatles repertoire. With the characteristic instruments and clothing of the original group, their concern for detail and a well-managed production, Beatles Forever throws us into the world of the most popular rock group of the 60’s. Relive the frenzy of that era.
