Quebec City (Quebec)  8 October 2014 – Lately, Ukraine has seen a tragic unfolding of political events. One of the most crucial developments remains Euromaidan, a wave of demonstrations, during which people had demanded closer European integration.

Ukrainians stand impressively united in their struggle to defend their values.

The Euromaidan movement has demonstrated that a protest can have a shocking impact while, at the same time, remaining peaceful.

Euromaidan also proved that it is never in vain to defend the values one believes in; moreover, it is really possible to make a change if united.

As the first anniversary of this pivotal protest approaches, a group of Laval University students is preparing a photo exhibit of the events that took place in Ukraine during 2013-2014 (illustrating Euromaidan protests) based on the work of professional photographer Anatolyi Boyko.

The exhibit is set to take place from November 10 to November 21, 2014 at Laval University Exhibit Centre of the Alphonse Desjardins Pavilion.

It will be open to the general public and subsequently will be shown at other Canadian universities.
