Quebec, May 2013, Opération Enfant Soleil is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1988 to raise funds for the development of high-quality paediatrics and to contribute to social health projects for all children in Quebec.

Over the years, Opération Enfant Soleil has taken over the management of two foundations: the Fonds Marie-Soleil Tougas, which is dedicated to promoting the mental health of young people, and the Fonds Josée Lavigueur, which promotes physical activity.

On May 5th, Voice of English-speaking Québec, in partnership with Be Active Québec was honoured to receive a grant from the Josée Lavigeur foundation. Be Active Québec is a local partner group that promotes a healthy lifestyle for kids 0 to 17 years old within the English-speaking community.  The support received from the foundation will enable Be Active Québec to purchase tools to implement motor skill development into our toddler’s lives.

Both, Voice of English-speaking Québec and Be Active Québec express its profound appreciation to the Josée Lavigeur foundation and Opération Enfant Soleil for their generous support. Our community and our kids thank you.
