Ville de Québec Nets Public Sector Champion

Ville de Québec Nets Public Sector Champion

A new champion from the private sector begins a career in local government with a key leadership position.

François D’Amours will become the Environmental Services Director on November 12.

He will take over from Jacques Grantham, as he will be retiring on December 31st.

Since 2011, M. D’Amours has been the Vice-President of the Kruger publishing papers division.

Mr. D’Amours is to be remunerated with an annual salary of $182,000. He is now part of what Régis Labeaume calls the champions, or people in the private sector who are hired without job security in high positions.

Unlike the former Communications Director from the Jean Charest government, Marie Claire Ouellet, recently appointed to the Tourism Office, Mr. D’Amours will benefit from a two-month transition with his predecessor.

On November 5th, Ms. Ouellet, who is on loan from the Quebec Government, will become the Board’s Marketing Director.

She will spend eight months alongside the one she replaces, Daniel Gagnon.

The latter retires in July 2013 only.
