Welcome to Version 2.0 of LifeinQuebec.com

Welcome to version 2.0 of LifeinQuebec.com.

We’ve revamped (and we think considerably improved) the site, and as a result, it now includes many new features.

We’re proud of the original LifeinQuebec.com. It was designed with a specific task in mind, and it that respect, it served that purpose well. Mission accomplished. We’re sad to see it go, however, the previous version can retire gracefully.

So why the change?
Since our launch in August 2010, we have been keeping a close eye on site usage.
An awful lot can happen in two years, and this is certainly the case with us.

With site traffic increasing exponentially month-by-month, so too did newsletter signups, and our reach across the internet.

Our results show us that LifeinQuebec.com attracts four distinct types of visitor, namely:

Anglophones living in Quebec City
Anglophones moving to Quebec City
People researching the city prior to taking a vacation or short break
Francophones living in Quebec City

To cater for those as best we can, we have added a much more detailed jobs section, a forum, a classified ads section, an improved events calendar, a business directory, and dedicated areas covering where to stay and where to eat out.

We have also received many comments and emails from site users around Quebec Province.

This has, at their request, prompted us to increase the areas covered by www.LifeinQuebec.com.

It is no longer just for Quebec City and the surrounding towns.

As time goes on, you’ll be seeing site content covering all the regions of Quebec including: Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Capitale-Nationale, Centre-du-Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches, Côte-Nord, Estrie, Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Lanaudière, Laurentides, Laval, Mauricie, Montérégie, Montreal, Nord-du-Québec, Outaouais, and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

Also, we now have a dedicated, in-house, team of writers in place.
They’re already producing work of excellent quality, and their articles can be seen in the news areas of the site.

As for the other areas, now you can:

Advertise a position on the Jobs Section
Advertise something in the Classifieds Section
Post something in the Quebec Forum
Search the Quebec Business Directory
Read Quebec news in English

The site is a work in progress, and continues to grow.

With that in mind, if ever you have any queries or comments & suggestions about how we may improve what we do, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Once again, welcome to the new site, and from all of us connected with LifeinQuebec.com, we wish your visit to be a pleasant one.
