William Renaud to Conquer Kilimanjaro

William Renaud to Conquer Kilimanjaro

All the preparations are now complete for William Renaud, a young dysphasic boy from Samuel-de-Champlain high school. He will be leaving in July to conquer the Kilimanjaro accompanied by a small group.

Three months after launching this idea to climb the highest mountain in Africa, the 16-year old was able to collect $5 250 necessary to finance his adventure. The goal of this project is to make people aware of dysphasia and bullying; many people are victims of those and often don’t want to talk about it.

In a recent press conference, he presented the group coming along with him from July 19 to August 2 in Africa. They will go on a safari and start climbing the mountain of 5 595 metres high supervised by an experimented guide, Céline Desautels. Someone will also be filming the adventure.

To finance his trip, William held activities and gave information sessions in his school which allowed him to raise enough money.
