Winter Decorates Joan of Arc Garden

The Nation Battle Field Commission invites everyone to come and admire for free the winter decors that the Joan of Arc Garden offers on the Plains of Abraham. This is the first edition called Jeanne d’Arc sous la neige which proposes a magical environment of incredible winter scenes from many centuries ago. The garden is open day and night and presents the history of the first historic national park in the country.

Get familiar with the winter scene on the Plains of Abraham with shimmering lights in trees around and interpretation panels which present the historical context of the place. You can also go to the Snowman fabric where the themes are:

  • The Stanley Cup for the Quebec Bulldogs
  • Snowshoeing
  • From country skiing to ski jumping
  • Skating in Quebec Skating Rink
  • The Nut Cracker and Martello Towers

The garden was created in 1938 by landscape architect Louis Perron. It is now one of the main attractions on the Plains of Abraham. From April to October, more than 150 species of plants can be observed. The place is even transformed for Halloween and now it is also transformed for winter.
